Press Releaseby UskompufDiscuss (8 Comments)
NVIDIA DLSS adoption is growing rapidly, accelerated by easy-to-use Unreal Engine plugins and native support in Unity. This month 10 new games get DLSS, and a number of others, including Cyberpunk 2077, get upgraded to the new NVIDIA DLSS 2.3 SDK for even better image quality. With an AI model that continuously improves through training on NVIDIA's supercomputer, NVIDIA DLSS offers the best image quality and performance for over 130 games and applications.
To deliver a level of performance and image quality far above that of traditional upscaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS utilizes an AI model trained on supercomputers, deep game integrations, and GeForce RTX Tensor Cores. Our DLSS AI model is always learning, and our newest update, NVIDIA DLSS 2.3, is available now. It makes smarter use of a game's motion vectors to improve object detail in motion, particle reconstruction, ghosting, and temporal stability.
In Cyberpunk 2077, which updates to NVIDIA DLSS 2.3 today, it more smartly uses motion vectors to reduce ghosting on fine detail in motion. Take a look at an example below, on the car's side mirror.
DOOM Eternal, id Software's much-loved first-person shooter, recently updated to NVIDIA DLSS 2.3, bringing improvements to particle rendering, which reduces streaking that obfuscated the appearance of embers and other small particle effects.
NVIDIA DLSS 2.3 is available now in 16 titles, including:
- Baldur's Gate 3
- Bright Memory: Infinite
- Crysis 2 Remastered
- Crysis 3 Remastered
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Deathloop
- DOOM Eternal
- Grand Theft Auto III - Definitive Edition
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Edition
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Definitive Edition
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider
- Sword & Fairy 7
And DLSS 2.3 comes to Farming Simulator 22 on November 22nd when the game launches.

farming simulator 22... wtf LOL
glorious. got to get the shadows just right on those corn stalks!
I'm confused, weren't some of these issues solved in DLSS 2.2 dll that shipped for R6 Siege?

so, is that cyberpunk 2077 with steam version today, has been update to DLSS 2.3 ??
arni-gxso, is that cyberpunk 2077 with steam version today, has been update to DLSS 2.3 ??
No unfortunately not yet, if you go into the Cyberpunk game folder, bin/x64 you can find the DLSS file (nvngx_dlss.dll) and the current version is still 2.1.39.0 which is basically a variant of DLSS 2.1. Though you can swap the nvngx_dlss.dll file, just overwrite with a newer version: www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ but you have to keep in mind these are not CDPR verified DLSS files, but I have no problem either of them, the latest 2.3.4 has much better quality than the original. But since they announced that the official 2.3 will release, I switched back to 2.1.
There are more games that use DLSS a lot of indie games do but seem this list is only AAA crap titles.

Is a shame complete lists dont get published, not all of us play AAA games.
Nvidia really could've done a better job picking screenshots as example cases. The doom eternal one is a particularly poor example case and they then zoomed in on a spot where it's hard to discern much of anything because it's overtly dark. The full sized screen shots at least show a better idea of the improvements. It overall looks more clear and crisp it doesn't appear to have nearly as much smear and blur relative to 2.1 overall. I can tell with the Doom screenshots zoomed out in the lower left side that the texture detail is much better brought out or preserved I'm not sure which maybe they sharpened things a little or maybe they just found ways to minimize the amount of excess filtering that drags down color details with a bit too much color crushing going on.
