Lack of Personalization: Another issue with IXL is its one-size-fits-all approach. It does not consider individual student needs or different learning styles. As a result, learners who require additional support or those who excel in certain areas may feel frustrated or unchallenged respectively.

Previous studies found that higher IXL usage is related to better academic performance. To maximize student learning gains, IXL recommends that students aim to reach proficiency in at least two IXL skills per week (2 SP/week).

You can purchase access for multiple children within your family membership. All children on the account will have their own individual profiles, complete with personalized analytics, awards and certificates unique to their accomplishments, and skills that adapt to each child's level.

When students first use the Diagnostic, we recommend they aim to diagnose until their complete diagnostic data is revealed—for most students, this will be around 45 minutes per subject.
