What types of foods should you be focusing on?

To start us out, what types of foods should you be focusing on when on your period? That is a great question, I’m glad you asked! It is important to focus on iron because you are loose a lot through bleeding. You can find iron in beef and red meats and dark leafy greens. I also like to get plenty of foods that are rich in omega 3’s to help flush our any excess estrogen’s that may be hanging around a little longer than we would like. For more information on what foods you should be focusing on, check out my cycle syncing post!

In addition to iron, it is important to get a variety of carbs, fats, and proteins. So keep all your meals balanced! This will also help with blood sugar levels that you may find are fluctuating during your menstrual phase. Imbalanced blood sugar levels are likely the culprit of intense cravings.

Alright! The educational portion of this post is out of the way, time for some FOOD:)
